Strange
Notes
What can you say about "Strange" that hasn't been said? "Strange" is exactly that. Compared to the past output of DM videos, strange is the best way to describe this lot of promos. This short film is the band's first collaboration with Anton Corbijn. Unlike the past videos, the five videos featured here are chained together by monologues of characters that interact with the band throughout the film. Special features contained within are the LP version of "Behind the Wheel", which fits better than its single remix counterpart, and the Split mix of "Never Let Me Down Again". The split is very apparent when the standard video ends and the footage of the other half of the Split mix picks up. Don't forget the film's finale: the video for PIMPF, which has to be seen to be believed. Throughout the film, the orange megaphones, affectionately known as BONGS, are as prevalent as the band members themselves as they offer the only colour in this all black and white mode world.
