THE FIRST BONG

Leave in Silence is the perfect candidate to hold the responsibility of being the first BONG. It's an incredibly insightful song that shows flashes of Mart songwriting genius. It doesn't stop there, 12 BONG 1 is a 3 track 12" single that comes in a textured sleeve featuring some gorgeous calligraphy. This release is the true foundation of the BONG: great cover art, great mixes, iconic imagery, low chart entries, etc. If only the video could live up to these lofty platitudes.

BAD VIDEO ALERT!

You have been warned. This one sucks so bad that not even Alan Smithee would put his name on it. This video is indescribably bad. Sometimes I can't believe that the band I love could be capable of this level of shite. Then again, if you're drunk or high or both, this one's sure to get some laughs. If you're neither drunk or high, it will rank highly in the 'WTF' factor. This is the part of our video tour where we hit rock bottom and start our ascent towards the Anton era.
