This was when I first heard of DM on the radio. I dug it back then but I wasn't nearly crazy about it like I was with Strangelove. 12 BONG 5 features another good extended version and another Alan Wilder B-side "In Your Memory", also a very good B-side with a mix that bear's Alan's nickname 'Slik'. "In Your Memory" also serves as a glimpse of what DM would become in the future: A band with well written, solidly produced songs, destined for longevity. If you ever wondered where pseudo-industrial bands like Nine Inch Nails get it from, look no further than the On USound mix by Adrian Sherwood on L12 BONG 5. Adrian brought some more industrial strength as well as a militant mood to his remix. Thankfully, we get more from him on the next release. In this video episode, it's time to respect the DM war machine as they commandeer a ship and use it to press copies of 12 BONG 5 while battling for attention between themselves and wartime stock footage. I've always wondered how they made that record. This video shows me, and you, how. Provided for your pleasure is the extended Different Mix version of this video. US Releases
